In the Gambia, every year hundreds of girls are taken on Female Genital Mutilation; many suffer unnecessarily, are injured and made permanently to lose their sexual feeling from the practice, making them subjects of mockery by their husband for not satisfying and even encountering domestic violence. The fatalities are often aggravated due to general ignorance, incompetent medically unskilled persons, and unsterilized materials used during the process<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
